S07E01 Épisode 1
L’été touche à sa fin et alors que la nouvelle année scolaire est sur le point de commencer, un nouveau chapitre aussi. S07E02 Épisode 2
Alors que Cassius et KJ traversent leur première journée à Beverly et South Crenshaw High, ils ont du mal à trouver leur chemin dans un environnement inconnu. Lorsque Yasi contrarie Khalil, Jordan intervient à la demande d'Amina. Olivia vient en ville pour rendre hommage à l'entraîneur Billy Baker, mais lorsqu'elle continue apparemment d'éviter Layla, leur amitié est mise à l'épreuve. Les nerfs de Coop prennent le dessus lors de son premier jour d'école de droit. Plus tard, Olivia apprend quelque chose qui change sa vie et Jordan a une proposition à faire à Khalil.

Le football est de retour et ce sont les premiers matchs de la saison pour Beverly et South Crenshaw. Lorsque le dernier ajout de South Crenshaw, Khalil, reste à l'écart, Jordan et l'entraîneur Bobby s'affrontent sur ses prochaines étapes. Par ailleurs, la défaite dévastatrice des Eagles conduit à pointer du doigt KJ. Plus tard, Cassius amène KJ à un match de South Crenshaw dans l'espoir que l'attitude positive de Khalil soit une leçon pour lui. Both Beverly and Crenshaw are on a hot streak in their respective games. Amina struggles with her decision to run for Stu-Co president when she discovers her campaign speech falls on a very difficult day. When Tori makes a pass at KJ, he finds his heart pulled in two directions. Khalil reckons with the conflict between his new life and his father's influence. Coop attends a law panel, and the professor's intentions might not be entirely professional. Cassius offers KJ fatherly advice. Finally, Amina catches KJ off guard with an interesting proposal.

Khalil must choose between lying for his father and a better path for himself. Patience gets an opportunity that tests her relationship with Coop, and KJ's fake relationship with Amina draws Tori's interest. Jordan uses Grandpa Willie's party as an opportunity to further investigate his theory about Coach Bobby, and his plan has unintended consequences.

Spencer James and Darnell Hayes return to town, organizing a spirited night out aimed at resolving the escalating rivalry between Cassius and Jordan - a tension that has started to affect Khalil and KJ. Meanwhile, Coop struggles with haunting memories from her past, finding comfort in Spencer's guidance. Later, Khailil gets support from Spencer, Jordan, and others.
