La série animée Spider-Man reprend l'histoire là où le film en prises de vues réelles s'est arrêté. Elle suit les aventures du super-héros Peter Parker et de ses amis, Harry Osborne et Mary Jane Watson, durant leur première année à l'Université d'État de New York.
