Pour la première fois dans son œuvre, Christopher Nolan s'adonne à l'émotion pure. En ce sens, le récit du film est concentré sur la relation entre le personnage de Cooper et sa fille à travers le temps, ce qui rend le film complètement déchirant.
Le visuel du film est aussi renversant, que ce soit la première partie très influencée par Spielberg et la seconde partie qui dévoile un vrai univers de science-fiction.
Les acteurs sont magnifiques dans Interstellar à commencer par Matthew McConaughey absolument bouleversant. L'un des plus beaux films de l'année 2014.
